We had an insightful discussion with Tracey, read more to find out what keeps her going!
What do you believe being an ACCA member will do for your career?
Being an ACCA member will open up doors for my career in more exciting and challenging roles. As ACCA is globally recognised, it could potentially open up doors for me in a role overseas.
How do you find the time to study effectively while working full time?
It is really difficult balancing a full time job with studies, but I usually set up a timetable and have a set plan. It may change or be updated at times, but I try and stick to it. Discipline, persistence and sacrifice is key.
How do you stay motivated?
I stay motivated by keeping my eye on the end goal, which is becoming an ACCA member. I’m also motivated by the small victories along the way such as being able to stick to my study programme and exam. Studying and working is not easy for anyone, it really requires dedication and commitment, so every little step in the right direction is a victory.
What words of encouragement do you have for other students?
Being educated is something no one can ever take away from you. Education enriches and empowers you as an individual. Personally, i think education is the greatest gist you can give to yourself or anyone else. Always remember that there is no such thing as failure, it just means you have unfinished success. Real “failure” is when you stop trying. So, never give up, every sacrifice will be worth it. Success will be the result of your hard work ,learning from past “unfinished successes”, dedication and persistence.
Keep on keeping on!
